Hi, there! My name is Kenton and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2019 and have loved helping my students learn the basics of guitar, music theory, and musicianship. I went to SUNY Brockport and earned a degree in Psychology in 2016. Following my undergrad I took a position that allowed me to travel the United States with not much more than a duffle bag and my trusty guitar.
More recently I've found myself growing roots in Rochester, New York, where I live and play music with two of my best friends. During the day I work in early school-age educational enrichment making sure my students are able to access and succeed in a constantly shifting educational environment.
I'm an energetic and goal oriented person and my teaching style is fun, engaging, and detail oriented. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

Kenton was great for my sons first lesson. Good energy, explained things well, made sure my 8 year old son was engaged, and asked what his interests are so he can tailor lessons. He also checked frequently with my son to make sure he was going at a good pace. Looking forward to the next lesson! Thanks
