I have been teaching professionally since 1965 I am also a professional) jazz and gospel pianist. I perform primarily in the Phoenix area but have performances throughout the year throughout the United States. I have written and produced a musical, "Kleo the Kat", which includes 10 original songs. I have recorded 6 albums of piano and vocal music. My lessons are diligent, yet friendly. I combine fun and learning. ALL of my students, consistently comment on my patience. I have a passion for teaching, and delight when my students are progressing. I enjoy playing and performing, but there is NO fulfillment like coaching children and adults alike, as they learn to create the music within them. I teach all ages. Currently, my youngest is 5 and my oldest is 83!! I have taught over 2,000 people of all ages to play music. I began taking lessons when I was five years old, continuing private until I was 20. I attended Glendale Community College and Gateway College of Music. I received my bachelors degree at Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona. I was nominated "Entertainer of the Year" from Echo Magazine. Students enjoy taking lessons from me because they learn and are allowed to explore their creative side of music. I customize lessons for my adult students...teaching them to improvise jazz, gospel, country, pop, and blues music. I also write some of the lessons for my students of all ages, often of their favorite songs. I encourage creativity and originality, while emphasizing the importance of theory and structure. *** Lesson Details *** The lessons are information filled, with hands on guidance as the student understands and implements the lesson taught. Both myself and the student is often surprised that the time has come for the lesson to end! I share my enthusiasm for music with my students. proficient at improvisational techniques in jazz, gospel, country, blues teach musicians to read and write charts. Teach vocalists to accompany themselves. ONLINE CLASSES My online lessons are informational and educational. The online experience does not distract from the personal touch and teacher/student bonding.

Kenny helped me make real progress on the Hammond organ, I would not be playing at my church without his knowledge and guidance. Take a Lesson was a great find I would recommend It to anyone wanting to learn or improve their skills.
