I started taking guitar lessons at 12 years old. At 17 I began studying classical guitar. To prepare for musical studies in college I began advanced theory and composition lessons with Dr. Simon Andrews at the Pennsylvania Academy of Music. I decided to stay near home for college and I was admitted and graduated from Millersville University in Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Music Performance. I auditioned at the University of Redlands here in Redlands, CA, and in 2012 I began my Master in Music degree at the U of R. My experience with music at the University of Redlands was phenomenal. I studied classical and jazz guitar, assisted in guitar ensemble rehearsals, sang in the University Choir, and did extensive research of 20th century music. I now attend Claremont Graduate University pursuing my PhD in Musicology while performing and teaching guitar all over the IE and beyond. My first lesson was the way I wanted it. We didn't do much playing rather took the time to get to know each other and talk about my.goals. Kenny is a good listener.

Vocal/Guitar Lessons Learning from Kenny has been an awesome experience. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable in both a variety of singing and guitar styles, but his down-to-earth personality creates a really comfortable environment. I've never been a singer in any shape or form, so the stress-free atmosphere has been key to me opening up and becoming confident in my ability. I've only been taking lessons for a couple months now and can already hear a huge difference in the pitch and strength of my singing. With the guitar, our focus has been learning music theory and correct playing positions. Before the lessons I had been playing guitar for a while, but I still feel like I've learned more in the past two months then I have in the past few years. I'm really looking forward to starting the new year with this teacher, and moving closer to my goal of being a singer/songwriter.
