I have been teaching piano lessons for 10+ years and have a passion for studying the greats who came before me. As an instructor, it is my job to guide students and supply them with the requisite literature at the appropriate stage of development. A student of the piano is foremost a student of music; and a general familiarity with the works of the masters, e.g. Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, is essential.

It is important to me that my students develop a strong foundation as this is necessary for growth in ones ability to play well. During the lesson, a student can anticipate a focus on technique and listening skills while learning to play great music.

I offer one-hour piano lessons once or twice weekly, either in person or virtually. Students are expected to practice daily for a minimum amount of time that is determined. Depending on the age of the student, half hour lessons may be considered and you are welcome to reach out to me to discuss.

About Kenneth L.

Born in Orlando, FL, Kenneth Landis graduated from Rollins College in 2013 where he studied Piano under Dr. Gary Wolf and composition under Dr. Daniel Crozier.
Mr. Landis won first place in the Wednesday Music Club Piano Competition as well as an honorable mention in the Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition. He has composed original music and orchestrated arrangements of traditional Christmas songs for the Virginia S. & W. W. Nelson Department of Music's choral and instrumental ensembles. During his undergraduate studies, Mr. Landis worked as a music theory tutor and was the personal assistant to composer Howard Richards, an experience which took him to Prague in the production of the composer's fourth album of original music. Today, Mr. Landis endeavors to cultivate a zeal for the principles of the golden age of pianism, especially those in his direct pedagogical lineage, Cécile Genhart, Alfred Cortot, and Tobias Matthay.
