Welcome! I am a professional musician with an extensive background as a music educator. I began teaching guitar at age16. I began playing lead and rhythm in my youth group. I majored attended university on a Music Performance and Academic Scholarship. My students have excelled in private lessons, group lessons, and in choir settings. Some of my students have gone on to make a career out of music as musicians, sound engineers and music managers and marketers. Music is a beautiful world that has many facets to life. I have been a public school educator for 18 years and have taught Music, English and Special Education to student with mild to severe disabilities. I have coached high school cross country, softball, junior varsity girls basketball, varsity boys basketball and have trained students for 3 years to run the Los Angeles Marathon over a 10 month period each season in a teacher lead group that is free to students called Students Run Los Angeles. With my background and expertise I am confident that I can collaborate with any student to help them learn and succeed.
