Music is an avenue of expression that I believe should be explored by all. whether it's to tell your story or live out someone else's story music always finds a way to connect us all. Hello, My name is D.K Simmons and I have been a part of three award-winning choirs, three Broadway plays, and I have traveled the world singing gospel and opera music. I specialize in vocal training and sight reading. I attended Morgan State where I received extensive training in musicianship and showmanship. I offer a full in-depth course teaching: the ins & outs of music theory ( note value, dynamic markings, key signatures, and circle of fifths ) and the ins & outs of singing (voice placement, breath control, posture, stylizing, phrasing, etc ). The program that I would have you go through is custom made for the individual since we all are unique so is each person's lesson. I base my lesson plan off of your goals, strengths, and weaknesses. I would provide reading material, sheet music, and music(mp3) to strengthen you in this endeavor that we call music. I charge 25$ an hour (1) and anything over three (3) hours in a session will be discussed in private, and I am willing to travel to you.
