Kenji has been teaching private lessons since 2005 and is currently available to teach lessons at your home, at his music studio, and online. Kenji has helped students of all ages to learn to play their favorite music, in a variety of genres, and at a all skill levels. Kenji received his training at Chaeffey College where he studied classical guitar. As an expert performer and front man of several bands, Kenji offers a unique perspective for his students, helping new students achieve their goals, and helping intermediate musicians perfect their craft. Kenji's teaching style is relaxed & comfortable. While learning to read music is always an option, Kenji shys away from traditional guitar instruction by focusing on learning to play songs the student loves, while occasionally sprinkling in theory, to help the student learn the how and the why of music.
