Hello, My name is Kelly. I have my own accounting business here in Southern California. I utilize both Quickbooks desktop and Quickbooks online with my clients. I use the software for report generation, reconciliations, inventory recording, AP, AR, and payroll. I’d be happy to teach my skill set. I have a collegiate degree in accounting. I've worked as an accountant for over 5 years in both accounting firm settings where I was mentored by accounting and financial advisement experts and as the owner and practitioner of my own accounting business. I currently use Quickbooks for my own clients every day. I have a set, but flexible curriculum that I tailor to the knowledge level and goals of each of my students. Some want to understand the program to be able to apply the knowledge to any business. Some prefer to be taught in a template format that is customized for the purpose of their current business. I have a short discussion with each of my students at the start of our relationship to see exactly what they are hoping to get out of the sessions and come up with a streamlined approach that is best for them. I often will demonstrate a skill first, explain why it is done, and then let the student try it on their own using simulated issues that could come up.
