    I have a Master's Degree in Music Education as well as a state teaching license for music education. My main instruments are piano and saxophone, but I play every instrument to some degree. I use a "skill tracker" for each student - basically, a huge skill chart I've designed that we fill in to keep track of how far the student has come. Kids love it. They get so excited about passing off a scale! I teach mainly classical, but I can also teach other styles as well. I focus a lot on technique and music reading skills. The only way to become a true independent musician is to actually understand music. I also teach students to play some songs quickly, so they feel successful and start to enjoy music right off the bat. I'm looking forward to helping you along your musical journey!
