About Kelly C.
Kelly Carter, a classically trained violinist, has been playing for over 22 years. She studied at MacPhail Center for the Arts for 6 years, as well as under Gwen Armwood, Stephan Hubig, Steven Leung, Alex Mezeritzki, Stella Anderson, Pam Arnstein, and currently Aaron Janse of the Minnesota Orchestra. Kelly plays first violin in the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra, principal second in the Minnehaha Repertory Orchestra, and serves as concertmaster to the Northeast Orchestra.
Kelly Carter is also the co-founder of El Sistema Minnesota, a program designed to elevate children out of poverty through the vehicle of classical music.
*** Travel Equipment ***
Students are responsible for providing themselves with instruments, materials and repertoire. I will provide additional music as I see fit, as well as, all materials necessary for recitals, performances, etc.
*** Specialties ***
I can teach the Suzuki method but prefer Essential Elements and Carl Flesch.
I also specialize in classical training.
