A voice teacher for a number of years, Kelly is a voice teacher who works with students to sing their best. Using Juilliard based vocal technique to develop young and adult voices alike, Kelly finds great joy in working with all types of students from all backgrounds and ability levels.
As a graduate of Kean University, Kelly has been teaching for over 7 years. She has worked with Juilliard Master Teacher Steven Schnurman (a student of Beverly Johnson at the Juilliard School) for the time since college. Kelly has participated in many performances and in many venues, including PNC Bank Arts Center. As a performer Kelly has participated in genres including opera, musical theater, rock, pop, jazz and blues.
Students are given the opportunity to work with their voice as an instrument. Great attention is paid to how the student is singing, rather than just what the student is singing. Technique building scales are provided as well as opportunity to develop appropriate breathing practices and application of technique to songs. Performance opportunities are also offered.
There are a million voice teachers out there, but make sure to study with one who knows how to teach you to use your voice. Contact me today for more information!
