    I have been a teaching artist for over fourteen years. Specializing in helping the beginner start. I have had intensive training in voice, piano, aural technique and theory with Dorothey Klotzmen, Julliard. I have taught music lessons for ages 4- 75, in person and remotely via Zoom, Google hangouts, Skype. I have worked for Willie Mae Rock Camp, DNDA and various other social justices organizations. I am also a certified TEFL and TESOL teacher. As a songwriter and musician, I received my first grant from The Grammy Foundation and have had music featured with NPR, KEXP, BBC6 radio and various other accolades.     Awesome teacher for our child and then teen. Kelli also became a trusted adult friend and mentor. Our daughter had been frustrated by lessons before we found Kelli who helped our daughter explore music joyfully and with discipline and become a technically proficient musician who composes and performs with confidence. She also taught her singing and composition. Irene released her 3rd album of original songs at the age of 21!

    Kelli has been amazing with my quiet, shy teen. She connected with him immediately, pushes him just the right amount to keep him learning and growing as a musician, but never so much that she pushes him away. She is very gentle and kind and encouraging. I love that she always does a little freestyle with him at the end of every lesson and his learning is not exclusively from books. On top of being a great teacher, she is a lovely human.
