Hi, there! My name is Keith Spratley and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 1998 and have loved helping my students achieve their various personal goals. I went to The City University, London, and earned a degree and a doctorate in chemistry from 1971 to 1977. I'm an extrovert music lover (many different kinds) and have a wide ranging sense of humor. My teaching style is very relaxed and lessons are tailored to the needs of the individual. Music theory and composition are taught as required. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

Keith is very enthusiastic in his teaching as well as very informed on many instruments. This makes the lessons very enjoyable and playing actually fun! Also he is flexible in scheduling, so if you need to move lessons around he is very good at accommodating that. Overall I would highly recommend Keith as a guitar teacher for anyone looking to get into guitar, or someone who already knows but is looking to improve! He is good at teaching the proper technique at first and then how to change that to make it easier to different chords, depending on how you can reach the right strings and frets.

Keith is a really nice guy and very knowledgeable. he not only knows guitar but several others as well. I bought a guitar and knew nothing about it, but he has been more than patent with me. His teaching style is very easy to follow and I've learned a lot, could have done a lot more if I'd followed his advice and practiced more. That's not his fault though! Each lesson goes over what I learned before and he throws in new things along the way. He seems to spend a lot of time before each lesson getting me new material for me to practice from and puts that music into "tab" form so I can follow it easier[and this is time he's not even getting paid for]. I will continue to take future lessons from Keith and some day with his teachings my wife might actually like my guitar. He's worth your time, so give him a try. Do you already play good? Go see him and he could help you to improve.
