Hi, my name is Keith and I have been involved in music from an early age. I love playing and teaching piano. I started taking lessons at the age of 9, and soon added trumpet and French Horn to my list of instrumental music lessons. I continued, through High School and College, taking music classes and private instruction. I attended The Center For Creative Studies, in Detroit, Washtenaw Community College and Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. great first session but I think for very young beginners it is difficult to engage.  Overall a very nice experience but the location was incorrect in the system and so in the end too far for us to commit.

Keith was a good teacher to our son, he was patient and kind.  Our son learned a lot from him, we hope in the future to use him again, if the opportunity arises.  Thanks Keith!

Keith is an amazing teacher. My 7 year old son likes him very much. Before the lessons I worried our boy couldn’t build his interest in playing piano, just lose his enthusiasm after a while as the 7 years old always did. But Keith make me totally worry free, my son likes him very much, and he really knows how to build the kid’s interests and confidence while learning. Now my son enjoyed himself very much with Keith in their piano time. We are so lucky to find Keith.

We had four in-home lessons with Keith and he never once arrived on time. And not like 5 minutes late because of bad traffic or something. Once he was 40 minutes late, and another time he was 45 minutes late. For an hour lesson. At first I though there was some confusion because the time on take lessons was slightly different than the time we agreed to (he asked if we could start earlier than the time slot that was listed, and I agreed) but after speaking with him about it, we were both on the same page as to what time the lesson *should* begin, he just never arrived on time. He seems to be very overbooked and busy and does not respect his clients’ time. He told me that the disparity of arriving on time or a half hour late is “superfluous,” so if you hire him, be prepared to have a wide window of when he could show up. My kids liked him as a teacher, which is why I kept giving him chances and trying to work out scheduling issues (I offered to move our lessons to a different time, but he insisted the time we were at was fine) but in the end, things could not be resolved.

So far it's been a great experience. I feel comfortable doing lesson at teacher's location. Very relaxing, Keith is encouraging, patient most of all schedule is flexible.

Just had one lesson so far but Keith was great!  My 6 year old really likes him and he was very kind,  patient, and professional.

Teaches adults both the theoretical and the practical.

He has a great style that I think is a good fit for my reserved daughter.  She said her first lesson went well, and she seems like she's ready to learn more.

Keith was kind and patient with our 8 year old daughter who is painfully shy. He was reassuring, worked using positive reinforcements, and taught to her interest and comfort level. He was unhurried and  we are looking forward to having him back.
