My wife and I first met Grand Master Griffin when we were training at another school and he allowed us to participate at his school as a guestz, from time to time. I was initially impressed by his openess and generosity. Over time it became apparent to me that Grand Master Griffin was very knowledgeable in neuroscience and psychology with a strong understanding of child development. As our son grew we noticed develepmental delays as a result of ADHD & Autism spectrum disorder. My wife and belived that Taekwondo would be beneficial to helping him to achieve. As a mental health professional I knew exactly where to send our son for training, to Grand Master Griffin. Over time we have noticed significant improvement in many areas such as hand eye coordination and concentration. Part of the regimen is geared towards helping with sports such as soccer which has really helped. Finally, another benefit of having a child enrolled at Griffin Martial Arts is that for the parents. Grand Master Griffin is very helpful in helping parents to help their children. Thank you for all that you do Grand Master Griffin.

I have been taking my daughter to Griffin Martial Arts for Tae Kwon Do since she was in seventh grade. It was such a positive experience that I kept taking her until she had to leave for college. Grand Master Griffin figures out what type of learner your child is and adapts his teaching method for the best results. His class really increased my child's self esteem and confidence. You will never hear Master Griffin say, "no, that is wrong" he will say "why don't we try it this way". It didn't take long for me to realize he really knows his stuff. (i.e. how forms originated, their purpose, the development and growth of martial arts, the Korean terms and language, philosophy) His unbridled enthusiasm for the sport is infectious. My daughter not only got a good work out but an understanding and appreciation of the culture that led to the creation of the sport. She earned her black belt. We soon discovered that earning her black belt was worth even more than her personal satisfaction. It helped with college essays and was an excellent inclusion for her resume. The instruction and support my child received from Grand Master Griffin was tailored specifically for her and the results will be with her the rest of her life. Gillian P. on January 21, 2016 You replied to this review on January 21, 2016 Thanks for the great review. I'm Pretty sure that teaching your daughter was pretty easy easy once I figured out her learning quadrant of a Expressive and secondary of a Logical learner. The Challenging part was to keep her motivated and then challenged with new material. Smart students are fun to teach because they are always thinking and applying the lessons. When a student goes from white belt through community education to earning all the belts up to Black Belt, a major achievement it will always be memerable. 5/5 stars Master Griffin is a great cardio kickboxing teacher. I took his class through Minneapolis Community Ed, and I loved not only the cardio workout, but all the fun and positive energy he provided. Lots of Janet Jackson music, too. I'd watch the kids wrapping up their karate lessons, saying, "We're on a quest to be our best." So awesome! Master G is the greatest. Christina Schmitt, Minneapolis Christina S. on January 11, 2016 You replied to this review on January 13, 2016 Thanks Christina for the review, it was a great time teaching you and knowing your high energy helped me bring the class to life. You being a expressive doing freestyle kickboxing drills your really excelled at. 5/5 stars Mr. Griffin is the ultimate professional of the martial arts. He leads and teach by example while building confidence, self esteem, and, espirit decorps in students. Colonel David Rabb, OIF/OEF Combat Veteran David D. on January 10, 2016 You replied to this review on January 13, 2016 Thanks David, for the great review. You and your children we a great martial Arts Family. I could always tell you guys actually practiced at home ( not all the students would make time to practice at home). Your practical approach to martial arts effectiveness i always enjoyed. Your family always brought life to classes and nothing stopped you guys from reaching your potential. 5/5 stars Keith understands how to teach. He has developed several types of curricula to meet anyone's learning style. He is upbeat and is great with all ages. His understanding of classic karate styles to varied weapons and up to date sparring techniques, can be modified and personalized to fit any ability. Grand Master Griffins fighting matrix is highly adaptable and applicable to any situation, from self defense,to everyday problem solving. I recommend his school for beginners, advanced belts, integrated arts, and continued martial studies. David Q. on January 9, 2016 You replied to this review on January 13, 2016 DQ, has been a life long student that has been a great friend before starting and has brought his kids into training. DQ has a power driven energy that is bottom line focused does it work and will it work for me. DQ has taken private lessons form he at his house and we used vhs tapes (that dates us both ), he tells me the lessons helped his learning curve at least 200 percent- to be able to review the lesson on tape over and over and even go back and review previous lessons. DQ has earned his Black Belt form Griffin martial arts Taekwondo, Taekwondo and I By David Quinn Taekwondo started for me at the age of 17; this happened more by accident than planning. Originally I started with Shotokan karate. I had always been interested in martial arts as a child and decided I would sign up for karate but not until age 17. I went to one tournament with the Shotokan club and noticed participants from the Taekwondo schools were defeating most, if not all, of the Shotokan students in every aspect of the tournament. By the time I left the tournament, I had decided I would no longer participate in that style of karate, but begin my training in Taekwondo. It wasn’t until several years later that this actually happened due to sports injuries and a stint in the Army. While I was in the military I started training in Taekwondo. Through the years, I have pursued other interests, however I am always drawn back to the Dojang. When my oldest children were in their teens, it was a pleasure to watch them develop and progress up through their green belts. Now my youngest is currently enrolled at Griffin Martial Arts and will pursue his black belt. Taekwondo means to me spending time with my children in the Dojang. Achieving goals together one step at time. Karate also has allowed me a window into a facet of the Asian culture. I have overcome physical challenges, which especially at my age has been difficult at times. Since returning to the Dojang in December of 2012, after an 8 year absence, I have noticed a marked increase in my energy levels, manage stress better, physically feel better, and am doing things at 53 that I could not do at 40. I plan to study martial arts as long as I am able. I hope to be 90 and still kickin. I appreciate being supported by my wonderful wife, by Miss June, and lastly, but most importantly Grandmaster Griffin in my pursuit of black belt excellence. 5/5 stars Master Griffin will create an engaging, enthusiastic and energizing presence for your training. As a kickboxing instructor, he always had new combinations and activities to make working out fun and effective. His positive energy and enthusiasm helps to inspire, even on days you'd rather just take it easy. His classes helped me feel more confident and strong. Sara Z. on January 8, 2016 You replied to this review on January 13, 2016 Thanks Sara you've been a great logical student that has always worked very hard during kardioarts kickboxing class. Your insight and analytical kicks and boxing drills i think helped you in class. Your confidence learning and doing brand new drills was a plus. When i pushed you in class you kept up and smiled all the way! 5/5 stars Master Griffin is an excellent teacher, mentor, and role model. My two children trained with him for years and developed so my physical and mental skills. Very professional and great with kids. ? Genny A. on January 8, 2016 You replied to this review on January 13, 2016 Jr and 4 eyes were great brown belts and awesome students. I think both children gave me a spark of energy when they came to the saturday morning classes and always were highly disciplined and respectful. Jr. and 4 eyes( nick names) always worked hard in class and always performed well at their belt graduations. 5/5 stars Master Griffin is a great Martial Arts Instructor he gives his students 100% I have worked with him and have achieved world ranking three times with his guidance for fighting and forms Viper John A. on January 5, 2016 You replied to this review on January 13, 2016 Master John has always brought a real world approach to the martial art. Being from Texas -Dont mess with TEXAS attitude in classes has always been fun. Being a great student and champion student i've always enjoyed his martial arts success. Vipers attitude in life and class has been unmatched. Now a martial arts master and school owner it is so rewarding to see his students see his greatness and ability to connect with his students in and around class. His understanding of the martial arts, teaching, competing and coaching is unparalleled. 5/5 stars Grand Master Griffin is outstanding! I have been a long term Martial artist and student of his for many years. I'm currently a second degree black belt. Even being at a higher level of training, Grand Master Griffin always keeps me challenged and comes up with new ways to enhance and hone my skills. When it comes to street self defense, sport fighting, and forms, Grand Master Griffin is second to none. Mr. Randy Howes Randy H. on January 4, 2016 You replied to this review on January 13, 2016 Mr. Randy Howes was one of my hardest working students, and his younger brother earned his brown belt, brought a high sparring level to class with excellent speed, power, great form on the high kicks. I did a corporate workshop at your employers Head Quarters and had a wonderful time teaching a self-defense course. Randy actually did the Griffin Logo that i use ( that means we are both old lol) Mr. Howes was a great student that has applied the martial arts in his day job as a manager and is a great communicator. 5/5 stars My child spent many years training at Griffin Martial Arts, and the individualized approach helped her to remain interested and to be successful. Master Griffin has an intuitive knack for engaging distractible kids and keeping them focused. By gearing the lesson specifically to my child's personality, interests and strengths, she was more successful than she would have been in any other setting. He took time to get to know what energized and motivated her, and was able to use that knowledge to create a maximized learning experience. Kristin T. on January 3, 2016 You replied to this review on January 13, 2016 It was a joy teaching a child that has a lot of energy and spunk and is highly intelligent. I learn a lot from kids that are bored easily, it helps me develop fun and challenging drills that i use in other class
