MISS KEIRA offers private instruction in artist development, voice, piano, music theory, songwriting and music production. She has been teaching since 2010 and is currently available to teach lessons in studio, in-home or online.
The VOICE is a delicate instrument and a reflection of our soul. This makes it very rewarding to train, but challenging nonetheless. MISS KEIRA assesses all of her students individually and tailors exercises to develop areas of their own unique voice and performance style. Eventually, she guides her students to improvise, which is a crucial step to vocal freedom. The goal is to sing with no inhibitions, while connecting authentically to yourself. In lessons, we do a series of personalized warm up and strengthening exercises, improvise and reprogram the brain to rid ourselves of old limiting belief systems. MISS KEIRA has assisted clients with everything from recording a demo to auditioning for American Idol and The Voice.
Learning PIANO has become something so academic we can no longer hear the music. Classically trained since childhood, MISS KEIRA has studied piano for over twenty years, focusing mainly on sight reading and technique. This method can quickly take you out of the music. MISS KEIRA ensures that all students walk away with the ability to read music, but focuses heavily on ear training, improvisational skills and music theory, without sacrificing technique. She assists her students with understanding song and chord structures so they can play their favorite songs by reading sheet music or playing by ear.
Keira has helped students overcome stage fright, anxiety, pitch issues and depression. She aims to use music as a healing tool to help others overcome confidence issues and emotional wounds. She has worked with students of all ages and levels, instilling a necessary level of discipline, while encouraging creative and holistic growth.
After achieving her B.A., Keira received further musical training at Musicians Institute, where she became certified in Vocal Performance. She finished as a Top 10 Finalist for the international singing competition, ETTV Top Idol and toured with cover band Mischief as their lead singer and keyboardist. She has performed on stages all over Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Asia. As an expert in her field, she looks forward to helping new students achieve their goals, whether it be to perfect a life long passion or start a career in the industry. Keira’s teaching style is approachable and friendly, but disciplined.
