Hi there! So you're passionate about music? Do you want to feel more connected to what you're doing? Are you feeling stuck and frustrated, as if you hit a plateau? Or maybe you just have certain goals you want to reach and need someone to hold you accountable. Do your thoughts and self-criticism hold you back? Do you want to feel free when you sing and/or play the piano? If any of this sounds familiar, I'm here to tell you that I understand, because I have faced these hurdles myself as an artist and have helped hundreds of people with the same problems over the past ten years of teaching. I graduated from Musicians Institute in Vocal Performance and have been studying piano my entire life, for over 20+ years. Classically trained since the age of 4, I did a quick U-turn and headed down the path of contemporary after years of private classical training. I believe in the marriage of the two worlds to have a full mind, body and soul experience with music. PIANISTS! I created a very easy to follow approach that includes ALL components of learning piano such as sight reading, ear training and music theory. My goal is to have my students be able to approach music in ANY way they choose: to be able to read sheet music, play by ear AND eventually be able to freestyle and improvise. SINGERS! I provide a safe space for my students to express themselves vocally. Vocals is rewarding, but challenging to train because it is A PART OF OUR BODY we cannot see, only feel. In order to be your best, you must become IN TUNE with yourself. Lessons involve training the muscular functions of your vocal cords, LISTENING to great vocalists for intriguing melodies and rhythms, UNLEARNING toxic thought patterns and OBSERVING the mind as a huge part of singing is mental. I have taught over 200 students in person, all over Los Angeles, California since 2010. I am looking to expand online so I can reach people outside of Los Angeles.
