I am a professional singer who's performed around the world from Lincoln Center to the Teatro San Carlo in Napoli and the Israeli Opera. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in music history from Spelman College and a Master of Music degree in vocal performance and literature from Northwestern University. I teach students of all ages and levels from beginner to professional. Voice students can expect to learn or solidify a healthy vocal technique and strengthening of the voice. Optimal breathing is the foundation of what I teach with good vocal production and freedom tailored to your specific and unique needs. In addition to classical voice, I'm also well-versed in vocal techniques taking your musical theater, gospel, pop renditions to the next level. As a professional vocalist, I've sung leading roles with many new composers in world premieres and companies around the country on the opera classics. I've performed musicals in regional theater and recitals and concerts across Europe and worked with an array of stellar international musicians.
