Hello! My name is Kayla and I want to help you reach your goals! I have over 17 years of experience performing and recording and I have been teaching voice lessons for almost a decade. I am classically trained in opera and am well-versed in musical theater, blues, jazz, rock, pop/R&B, Nordic and world music. With more than 50 productions under my belt, a degree in vocal performance and multiple national awards, I have experience and knowledge to pass on!
I have taught children and adults, both individually and in groups- all ages and skill levels are welcome. I also have many years of experience teaching those with special needs (Autism spectrum, Dyslexia, ADD/ADHD etc) Lessons are TAILORED to each student and I always do everything in my power to accommodate every student of mine! Some things that I do include in every lesson are: proper technique and posture, music theory and music history.
What a terrific teacher! Very versatile and adaptable; Kayla was always patient, professional and persistent. We created a clear long-term goal and then followed a specific short-term plan in order to reach it. I am very pleased to have had Kayla as my instructor.+ Read More
I thought online voice lessons couldn't work, but Kayla is an amazing teacher. I am a visual learner and she has been amazing. Not only is Kayla an accomplished vocalist and musician, she is also a personable and flexible teacher! I have chosen to do her 'Vocal Bootcamp' and it's been a great experience. I have added almost an octave to my range!+ Read More

I had been playing guitar for about a year and wanted to really start delving into some more advanced training. I really enjoyed Kayla as a teacher. She is patient, out-going and versatile. She is able to teach from many different points of view- Kayla always found a way for me to clearly understand and remember information. I highly recommend her as a teacher!+ Read More
