Makeup with Katrina F.

Hello! My name is Katrina, I am a licensed esthetician and certified makeup artist of seven years. My goal as a teacher is to make people understand that makeup artistry is not only beautiful but fun, creative, and one of the most fun ways to express yourself! I have absolutely loved this craft since I was a young girl and I’d see my aunt and her friends putting on makeup, and playing in her lip liner after she would leave out. I finally had the opportunity to really dive into it after I graduated high school and decided to pursue my esthetician license. Growing up I had always been told I explain things very well and would make a great teacher, but I never knew what I would ever love enough to teach. While in beauty school and still a novice, I still had the capacity and charisma to share what little I did know with the girls around me, soon after acquiring my license I began going live on social media. It became popular with my friends list and they urged me to do a class, so I began hosting independent makeup classes. While promoting classes I caught the interest of someone who worked for the College of Southern Nevada and they hired me as a makeup instructor for their development and enrichment part time classes. During my time their I honed my teaching skills and expanded my knowledge on what it is to be a teacher and on makeup artistry. I was ecstatic to be teaching the thing I loved most, makeup is my passion and it shows in everything I do. I am currently growing my brand on social media and have gained PR with smaller brands. My goal as your teacher is to make doing your makeup as easy and effortless as brushing your teeth in the morning. What I enjoyed as a makeup artist is seeing a client so happy with how they look after I would finish their face. What I love even more as a teacher is seeing my students face when they finally understand a technique and can finally do it for themselves.
