Viola with Katie P.

I am a junior at BYU, studying music education. I have a lot of experience playing in large and small ensembles, as well as playing as a soloist for festivals and events. I have had many opportunities to teach and work with people of all ages. I lived in the Philippines for 18 months and got to work with many of the natives there, as well as having many opportunities here to teach children in large and small group settings and on an individual level. I recently had the unique opportunity to work with children with special needs over the summer, and I have a great love for working with kids of all ages and abilities! I welcome all students who want to work hard and have fun discovering music together in a friendly environment. I will work with them to improve musicianship skills, sight-reading, theory, and ear training skills. I hope to pull from many different resources to help them learn in a way that would be best tailored to them and their personal needs.
