Spanish with Katie L.

I am a certified teacher and have been teaching for over 8 years. I have experience teaching students who speak English as their first language and those who speak it as their second language. I studied Spanish for many years in school, but I didn't learn to speak it fluently until I lived in Argentina and had to use it daily. Through my experiences with teaching the English language and learning the Spanish language as well as studying Italian and Portuguese, I have come to develop a style of teaching that helps students acquire a language in a more authentic way that combines the direct instruction of the language with the practical use that comes up conversationally and in cultural aspects like music, stories, and media. I am patient and know how challenging learning a language can be. In a class with me, you can be sure that we will learn at your pace and have fun!
