Hello! My name is Kathryn and I am from and live on the beautiful coast of Monterey, California. I have always had a passion for cooking and baking since I was a little girl. I was raised with an Italian family where I have learned many things in the kitchen from my Nana (meaning grandmother in Italian) and Father who owns a couple restaurants on Fisherman’s Wharf – Cafe Fina and Domenico’s on the Wharf. Growing up, I have had a great amount of experience working at my Dad’s restaurant’s and that made me fall in love with food even more. Coming from an Italian family, means being around a lot of food and always being in the kitchen. Being in the kitchen is the way to my heart.

I like cooking and baking so much I decided to photograph and share my passion with everyone through my food blog-- Kathryn's Kitchen Blog.

I love eating healthy and clean, but I also believe everything should taste delicious. Living a healthy lifestyle is just as important to me as eating good tasty food so that is why I try to cook as healthy as possible.

Kathryn's Kitchen Blog

Kathryn's Kitchen Blog is where you can find my food blog {www.kathrynskitchenblog.com} that I started almost 5 years ago! I have combined my favorite recipes with my passion for cooking and baking into my blog. You will find easy recipes with a healthy twist, kitchen inspiration, and some tips and tricks!

Food blogging is a hobby I love to do when I'm not working my real full time job at a hotel. I work the typical Monday through Friday 8am-5pm so I try to blog as often as I can. I love making dinner from scratch as often as I can so I am constantly developing new delicious and healthy (most of the time) recipes!

Young Chefs Academy

I worked at the Young Chefs Academy while I was attending my last year at Fresno State and I loved it! It was so much fun interacting and teaching children how to cook and seeing the passion they had when they came into the kitchen!

I conducted cooking and baking classes for children between the ages of 3-8. I educated and informed children of new cooking techniques, measurements and ingredients. I also led weekly cooking classes, themed birthday parties, fun workshops, school field trips and themed camps.
