I have been a professional musician and educator in the Florida & Alabama panhandle for over 25 years. I cover a broad scope of ages (schoolage thru adult) and particular educational needs (hobby, scholarship, learning disabilities, etc ). I teach in classroom (group), private and online settings. I have a unique teaching style to blends both Traditional note-reading and ear training methods with both Classical and Contemporary repertoire. My students can expect to improve week to week in their violin technique and expand their repertoire every 2 weeks. I help each student unlock and release their own particular musical style and increase their abilities with freedom, confidence, and expression. I teach violin students of all different ages and experience levels and enable them to sight read music and pursue both classical and/or contemporary excellence, to learn how to play contemporary music using chord sheets, or both depending on the goals and preference of the student. As a professional musician I have played many public venues over the past three decades including weddings, bands, for/with recording artists and Worship leaders such as Rita Springer and Lindell Cooley. I love to mentor students who want to become effective, dynamic worship leaders. My personal passion is contemporary music, and firmly believe that great classical technique is essential to any and every style.
