    Kathleen Fontaine, clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone, flute, piano-holds a BA in Music History and Music Theory from Rhode Island College and an AFA (with High Honors) from the Community College of Rhode Island. Katie is an active performer and teacher, She regularly performs with area orchestras, chamber ensembles, wind ensembles, marching bands,and musical theatre pit orchestras on woodwinds.She also sings with the South County Chamber Singers and is their Secretary. She was honored to be a performer for the premier of woodwind quintet "Mountain Morning" by Jean Maxon Carpenter.

    Kathleen is a hands on instructor with the patience of a saint. Enthusiastic & comitted to her craft she is passionate about teaching others with optimism & the "one step at a time" approach. She is prompt in communication as well.
