I've been playing the piano since I was big enough to touch the keys. I grew up in a fun, loving, musical family and music has always been my life and my passion. I have 4 kids, ages 4, 5, 13 an 17! I love working with children and exploring their gifts and talents to help them be as musical as they can be. I like to have fun in lessons and reward children as they excel in music, whether it's on piano or oboe. I teach year round and am very flexible when it comes to vacations, holidays, etc. It's great for kids to start lessons over the summer so they can dedicate more time to learning the instrument. I've been playing oboe in the Oklahoma City Philharmonic since 2000 and just completed my first year of Instructor of Oboe at Oklahoma City University. I graduated from OCU with a Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance and a minor in Piano Performance. I was a church pianist/organist for years and started teaching piano to children in 2000 through the OCU Performing Arts Academy. I went on to form my own piano studio. I love working with children because I love kids and I enjoy helping a child to learn to play such a beautiful instrument.
