I am a generalist and jack of all trades at heart. I am an artist, writer, and researcher in the arts and sciences, as well as an entreprenuer and teacher. I am mostly an autodiatict and a gifted learner. I have a passion for learning. My studies have been mostly independent, although I have studied in the USA. I am from Colombia and moved to the USA in 1999. Growing up in an immigrant home, I mastered translation and interpreting in English and Spanish vice-versa as my family's livelyhood depended on my contributions. This led me into strong interest in language learning, researching into neuroscience, linguistics, biology, and development psychology. This also led me to further developing learning methods and techniques though strategic design, neuro-plasticity, and natural learning interfaces to teach the English language to beginners, students, and professionals, as well as special needs learners. I also worked as project manager for United Data Technologies, working on a concept proof to gain greater insight into integrating technology into K-12 curriculum. I later ventured into entreprenuership co-owning and investing in agricultural and construction companies, spending some time away from the classroom and my independent studies. I became a mother recently and have settled down to teach again from my home based practice. Fun fact about me: I have conservatory level studies in the fine arts, began oil painting at age 6 and taught children and adults oil painting in my adolecence.
