I'm a college student who is pursuing a career in Elementary Education. As a piano teacher I get on the student's level and teach to their unique style of learning. I've been playing the piano for 15 years, in which the first 9 years I've taken piano lessons. During those years of lessons, I've performed in many of the National Federation of Music Club's Junior Festivals. I was awarded 4 gold cups total for solo and duet piano performances, based off of receiving superior ratings from judges. I understand the hard work that goes into playing a beautiful instrument such as the piano. For 1 year and 6 months, I've been formally teaching piano lessons. Although I'm new at teaching piano, I'm very professional with each piano student. I teach students theory, technique, and performance. I teach fun and engaging lessons to keep those children interested in learning. I also like to incorporate practice charts with stickers for positive reinforcement. I believe that the student's daily practice along with my formal teaching will best help students progress into an amazing musician.
