Kameri is a classically trained soprano who enjoys teaching and singing all styles of music. (pop, music theater, bluegrass, early music, art songs, opera...to name a few) As her student, you can expect lessons to be fun and stress-free. Kameri loves working with students of all ages. She will teach you fundamental music techniques as well as how to be as expressive and creative as possible in order to deliver a unique performance to your audience. Kameri is finishing her M.Ed. in Music Education from Aquinas College and holds her B.M. in Music Therapy from Florida State University *** Lesson Details *** No matter your age or skill level, my goal is to help you succeed and have a great time along the way! One of the amazing things about practicing music is that it is one of the few activities that engages both the left and the right brain at the same time! With that in mind, my teaching places equal importance on developing both strong technique, and creativity. Students learn all the basics of music while spending time developing strong ensemble skills and background knowledge of style and repertoire so they may enjoy music in a variety of settings, all their lives! Children: (guitar, piano, or general music) I approach teaching music by knowing and understanding the student's musical goals and teaching the basics of music theory and technique through the style(s) of music that the student wants to learn. Beginners will learn basic techniques and chords through simple songs in order to be able to play music as quickly as possible...because hearing yourself make a good musical sound is he best motivator! Voice Students (starting in 5th grade): Weather you would like voice lessons to prepare you for that big audition or would just like to learn to sing for your own enjoyment, you are in the right place. No matter what skill level the student, I know it is important as a teacher to be encouraging and constructive, always doing my best to point out good sound in my students while taking note of areas of need. I strive to teach at a high level so my students become not only great performers, but quality musicians. In addition, I believe students excel most when singing music that they enjoy, so I make it a strong point to incorporate a balance of both student and teacher repertoire selections. *** Studio Equipment *** Living room studio with piano, guitars, and seating for parents. *** Travel Equipment *** I have guitars, a keyboard, music stand, and a library of sheet music available for my students although I do require students to practice at home on their own personal guitar or keyboard/piano. Students will also be required to purchase necessary piano/guitar/voice books/music needed for lessons. *** Specialties *** I specialize in teaching children's guitar, piano, and general music (adapted for special needs if needed), and classical voice (5th grade and up).

My lessons experience was very helpful and fun. I am SO glad that Kameri was the teacher I chose to take voice lessons with. She was incredibly kind, encouraging, and helpful as she taught me the aspects of singing that I wanted to learn. She always stayed in communication with me, making sure that we were still able to meet for lessons and being willing to switch practice days if needed. The lessons were a ton of fun and we laughed a lot when something "embarrassing" or weird happened. I felt very comfortable with her and would recommend her to anyone else looking to take lessons in the music fields she teaches. I wish I could afford to take more lessons because it was very enjoyable! Thanks Kameri for a great couple of months of voice lessons and for all your great advice! I definitely needed the push and encouragement. (:

Wonderful training for beginners21 Kameri has been such a positive role model for Ella. She knows how to keep a 4 year old entertained while learning. She has creative ideas and Ella loves them all. She sees the strengths in Ella and brings them out. We will continue with lessons ,thanks to Kameri .
