I am a professional guitarist and bass guitarist with a passion for helping beginner musicians hone their craft. I've toured in China, and have played with some of the best musicians in Austin, TX. I've developed students of all ages to excel musically with individually-tailored development plans. Every student I've taught has improved in instrument competency and musical confidence over time. Within weeks you will learn to play songs, have the notes of each string memorized, understand correct finger/hand positioning, and be able to tune your instrument. And, in a matter of months, you can expect to know a wide variety of chords or notes, strum or plucking patterns, progressions, and scales. However, I take a student-directed approach: in other words, you are in charge of what you want to focus on! I am a teacher who emphasizes the student's goals in each lesson. With weekly resources and tips, I will teach you how to maximize your practicing efforts, make goals, and implement a personalized practice regimen that will keep you motivated, engaged, and learning. Together, we will ensure you make significant progress even during your first month of lessons. There is so much to accomplish when you have a great teacher who will hold you accountable to your goals. I cannot wait to see you improve as a musician!
