    About Justin R.

I absolutely love chess. I currently work inside the school district with Elementary schools. I work side by side with 11 schools. I help their chess programs become competitive in the area I live in. I use to work with a High school team before I went into full time chess. This gave me plenty experience working with older and now younger kids. Before I went full time into teaching chess, I worked with a company that took care of people with special needs. This was not just kids I worked with, but also adults. Due to this, I feel I have learned a variety of teaching styles to all walks of life. Whether you are young or old, have special needs or not, I feel I can work with you. If you are someone who is already an active tournament player, This part is for you. I am comfortable with people who have 100 - 1500 rating. This is normally the range I work with. For anyone who doesn't understand the rating system, 100 is the lowest rating you can have. I am also a Tournament Director (TD) for US Chess Federation. I am a Level 2 TD and understand the tournament as a player and a director. I feel this helps me better prepare people who want to one day enter tournaments.
