Hi there, I have been playing the piano for over 20 years, and have over 8 years teaching experience, having taught everyone from 4-year olds to retired enthusiasts (including students with special needs), in private, and classroom settings. I focus on making lessons fun, while catering to the individual needs of every student. I can help with music theory questions, improvisation, and composition, as well as piano lessons focusing on jazz, classical, or any other styles you are interested in. Let me know what you are interested in learning and we can work together to accomplish any musical task.

He has an engaging and down to earth teaching style. I’ve seen piano teachers who use a “one size fits all” canned approach to students, but Justin was able to quickly size up my personal weaknesses and strengths and set me on an individualized path to improvement.+ Read More
Justin is one of the most patient, thorough, encouraging, easy to work with teachers I have ever had! He knows his music and his love for it is contagious. I know his personal training was very solid, so he is extremely knowledgeable. No matter what level you are at, do yourself a favor and shedule a lesson with him. You won’t regret it!+ Read More
Well, what can one really say about a local phenom musical genius? This guy really knows how to play, and explain what is happening at the root of swing. On the fundamental elements of jazz, Justin has given me exercises and theory that has elevated my playing to a level that I really didn't think I could ever achieve. I also got him to give my wife a few piano lessons -something she had never done before. And within about 20 min, he had her playing through the real book. He just made it seem easy and fun, and now she can play piano. Pretty cool.+ Read More
