Bilingual Youth Development Teacher. B.A. in Tourism Management and City Planning from Northeast Normal University (College of Humanities & Sciences) in China and B.A. In Community Development (College of Urban & Public Affairs) from Portland State University. Junyu is good at achieving her academic goals through storytelling, discussion, teaching, training, and research. She loves to develop classroom leadership and encourage her students critical thinking skills. She believes that education gives people options to choose the lives which they truly want to live and make positive changes. She likes moving towards a sustainable lifestyle and trying out delicious foods. Chinese has really simple grammar and it only requires you know 3000-5000 Chinese to go to Chinese university! The only challenge is to practice the five different tones! I have experience to teacher more than 60 students who come from different culture. I love to see my students have more confident to speak Chinese than the first time I met them! I am so excited to tell them more about Chinese culture and the things that they want to learn.
