PIANO AND SINGING: My students range from the very young (5 years old) to school age children, to teens, and adults. My students benefit from my expertise in teaching Vocal and Piano music, my knowledge of Music Theory, and my encouraging teaching style. I have been involved in making music since I was a young child, and I have been teaching private students since I was a Music major at the University of Florida in 1982 when a fellow college student asked me to teach her voice lessons. I have a Music Education degree from the University of Florida; my major instrument was Voice, my minor was Piano. I will work together with you to insure an enjoyable and informative learning experience. TUTORING I am a former certified public school teacher. I am comfortable tutoring most subjects. A detailed listing can be found in my TakeLessons profile. English and Grammar are favorites. I have had much success teaching adult ESL students.

Excellent start to the world of singing. Lots of helpful techniques and exercises for voice/breathing. Juile obviously has a lot of knowledge. She is very nice and we interacted and communicated very well. I'm looking forward to continuing this series.

Julie is an amazing teacher! I have been learning from her for the past 2 years and I've improved so much. She is always so encouraging, kind, and positive. She does a great job explaining the mechanics behind different vocal techniques, so that you can understand how to improve your voice in a way that's unique to you. The amount of progress I've seen in myself is pretty amazing and I really look forward to continuing to see how I can grow.
