Dear Student, I am so excited you want to take music lessons! If you love music, we'll have a lot of fun learning together. My best memories are from playing with friends in band and orchestra. Playing the flute took me to college and to visit Europe, even to meet my best friend and my husband! I love to listen to and teach all kinds of music and can't wait to hear what your favorites are. I studied to be a classical flutist so I play a beautiful silver flute in the orchestra but my husband and I also love popular music. In our group, "Mr & Mrs Music" I play a hot pink flute and he plays an electric cello! We mix classical music, pop, and movie hits and have so much fun performing in our community. I can't wait to meet you and make music together! Dear Parents, Thank you for giving your child the gift of music! Even if they don’t recognize it right away, they are so fortunate to have your support. As the founder and owner of NOVA Music Academy, I believe that children always win when parents and teachers unite to provide support. We hope that by inviting you into the NOVA Music Academy family, your unique child will find joy in learning music and grow to appreciate the deeply expressive power of art for a lifetime. I can personally attest to the joy that music has brought my life, including full scholarships for a bachelors, master's and doctoral degree and I could never have done it without my amazing flute teachers. I'm looking forward to repaying their investment into the next generation of musicians, I sincerely hope your child is one of them! My website contains a full bio, resume, and recordings of my playing and testimonials from parents and students.

Having Julie for a flute teacher greatly improved my daughter's proficiency and love for music. Julie was very professional and thorough in her lessons. Most importantly, my daughter was inspired to practice and improve. After taking lessons with Julie, my daughter improved to the level that she began to be hired to perform for Weddings, Church Masses, and Catholic School Masses.

At the National Flute Workshop, Julie helped me to better myself not only as a flute player, but as a whole musician. I'm her history class I learned about different tuning systems, and then she helped me turn that knowledge into practical application on the flute. Julie's teaching helped me play more confidently.
