Spanish with Julian H.

I'm a native of the Chicago-land area who sees Spanish as a means to open doors to new and exciting places and cultures. I taught and tutored both high schoolers and adults in Spanish here and overseas. I have had success as an instructor, leading one of my Spanish I classes to a B average while using a variety of methods - teacher-made songs, flashcards, games, videos, pictures, conversation exercises, and Total Physical Response. I've taught non-native speakers the alphabet and native speakers how to accentuate words and decipher Spanish literature. I was recognized by my peers, asked to join teams tasked to build the Spanish curriculum both with Teach for America in Los Angeles and Compton Unified School District. I also led professional development for a group of Spanish teachers as well. I hold a BA from Northwestern University, Teaching Certification in Secondary Spanish from Cal State - Dominguez Hills, and a JD from Harvard Law School.
