Julia L. I am a professional singer, songwriter, whom The New York Times says «has the right noble temperament for her slow arias», was awarded the 1st prize of the NY District Metropolitan National Council, 2nd prize of Marchella Sembrich Competition , finalist of Giulio Gari Competition, finalist of the Fritz and Lavinia Jensen Foundation. My repertoire crosses the genres of classical music, classic pop, Latin music, and jazz. ​I also play piano and ukulele. I graduated from Musical College named after Gnessin ( Moscow, Russia) with a Bachelors of Music, voice; had training with such voice teachers and coaches as Diana Soviero, William Hicks, Kathie Agresta and many others, was Artist in Residence with Dicapo Theater ( New York). Voice students can expect to improve week to week in their vocal technique. Every voice has a unique timbre; I teach students to release built up tension and apply foundational techniques in order to unlock their own individual sound. I can help any student to sing with freedom, confidence, and expression. I pay attention to a complex stage presence of my students I teach singers of all different ages and experience levels. I can teach students to read music and pursue classical excellence. My personal passion is classical music and jazz but I firmly believe that great technique is essential to any and every style.
