I got my start in dance at the age of three and was classically trained in a dance school as well as in my academic school. I had my first choreography project in high school and immediately fell in love with the ability to create a story through movement. For some extra training and exposure, I began to teach at a separate dance school in addition to my high school team and my dance school I had been competing with since first starting my career. While I’m college, although I did not major in dance, I joined a semi professional company that allowed me to continue my art along with my studies and used it as an avenue for expression and self exploration. After a 20 year career, I so look forward to giving you/your children the gift that has continued to give to me for so many years.

My love for dance grows far beyond my 20 years in the field, it has become apart of who I am and look forward to sharing that with you in a unique and exciting way! I am able to offer individualized and custom lessons that will tailor your experience to be one of a kind, ensuring you get the most out of your experience. Feel free to ask me about my exciting experiences including traveling all over the world for dance, as well as some of my experience teaching right here in my home state of North Carolina! Whether you’re 3 or 73, I’d love to teach you what the art of dance is all about.

Julia is a great teacher. She asked questions throughout the lesson to make sure it was targeted to my daughter’s needs. She was very nice and also provided helpful feedback for improvement.
