Classical Piano with Julia A.

Julia Andrews is an active performer of chamber music and jazz piano. Andrews made her international debut in November 2008 as a guest artist at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music International Contemporary Music Festival in Vietnam. She is in demand throughout the Midwest as an accompanist and jazz pianist. Julia has owned her piano studio for 21 years. She has served on the music faculty at Monmouth, Knox, and Cornell College. Lessons with Julia are student-centered and designed uniquely to each student. I have experience teaching retired adults and pre-school music classes. Currently my youngest student is 6 and my oldest in in her 70s. What I've learned throughout my career is that I love music and I want to share that love with anyone that wants to learn. My favorite lessons are with students that are curious. Some students want to play popular music. Others are strictly classical. I believe using student-centered repertoire combined with timeless technique and music theory provides a well-rounded approach that keeps students motivated and curious.
