The first piano lessons I ever had was as a child, with my babysitter. Taking piano lessons as a child and adult has helped to grow me mentally, emotionally, and physically. 

I love teaching piano, especially to adult beginners! I am open to teaching all kind of techniques to students, such as sight reading (being able to read any music), playing from ear, composing, or learning different styles of music. I work with you to create success through working with your goals. I have been teaching piano lessons since college (so almost 8 years) and am excited to go on this adventure with you!

I have been taking piano lessons since I was 3 years old, and started teaching as early as 13! I love to teach piano lessons to people of all ages, especially adults. Learning to play the piano is a wonderful skill to have and is an incredible amount of fun! 

I teach all different types of piano styles - from classical, to ear, to composition, to jazz. Let me know what you want to learn!

Joy is a great piano teacher! As an older woman, I was very nervous about learning piano. However Joy was very easy going, provided the best materials, and really helped me grow my piano skills. I am now able to play christmas carols when my grandchildren come to visit!
