English (ESL) with Joy B.

Here are the things that make me great as a teacher: 1. I like to have fun. 2. I love to see the light bulb come on when a student 'gets' something! 3. I am a nice person. 4. I have a Bachelor's degree in English. 5. I make the class fun! Here is what our class will look like: A. Lots of conversation. Me asking you questions and you talking, followed by me listening and gently giving corrections on the way you pronounce the words. B. Practice of writing words and reading short stories. This strengthens your understanding and gives your brain 'muscle memory'. This means you will get stronger and stronger in knowing the English language. C. The success of our class will depend 50% on how I lead you and 50% on the effort you put into it. You work hard (and have fun while doing it) and I will work just as hard as I can at making it a fun environment! D. Our class will be fun, and way more than just another boring lesson plan. E. Sometimes there will be snacks, compliments of your teacher. Because I love to bake. :)
