Greetings to those reading this! I'm a tutoring professional with particular expertise in piano. music theory, and mathematics. I am currently a student expecting to graduate from the City College of New York with a Bachelors of Arts, in Business Management (2022). In terms of music background, I've studied classical piano for 16 years, the oboe for 3 years, and have taught piano to students for more than 3 years. I've had an amazing opportunity to participate in a band and orchestra in Queens, NY, and perform in Carnegie Hall! I have a tremendous passion for music, and students can expect to gain this trait, while simultaneously learning how to read, write, understand, and most of all play music while hitting whatever goals they may have! In terms of academic and mathematics background, I graduated from the Bronx High School of Science in the year of 2015 with an Advanced Regents Diploma. I've had the privilege to tutor enthusiastic students of all backgrounds in four different academies and teach a full-sized summer science class. Students can expect to fully understand the common core curriculum and learn at an accelerated pace... Better grades can mean just one to two sessions away! My personal passion lies in mentoring and coaching students of all ages and helping them discover their passions in their pursuit of excellence. Looking forward to meeting each and every one of you!

My 8 year old son has been taking online piano lessons from Joshua for about a month now due to the current situation. I was hesitant at first since I was worried about the effectiveness of online lessons. But after taking a few lessons, my son won't stop talking about how much fun he's having and how much he's learning. I am very satisfied with the progress that my son is making. I recommend the 1 hour lessons since that's the one I got. The lesson prices are also MUCH cheaper than the local music school's so that was a plus.

I really like the way Joshua set up his lesson plans for the week accordingly to what I am studying for. He explained concepts to me very well and challenged me to do other problems that deal with the calculus problems we worked on together. I got a grade bump up thanks to his help! I highly encourage students who want to get ahead in calculus to make an appointment with him.

Joshua is one of the best tutors I had the pleasure of dealing with! My child showed drastic improvements and a new profound interest in piano. Sitting in on a lesson, Joshua made sure my son was not only comfortable, but also understanding of the new material being taught. Joshua is also very accommodating with my schedule and offered alternative scheduling when possible. Very professional and would recommend!
