I will provide basic chord structure, strumming, and fingerpicking techniques.  I will focus less on scales, theory, etc. and more on the songs themselves. 

I learned the guitar backwards, meaning I learned songs first and figured out how they worked later on. This is the most fun way to learn.  

Get into the good stuff first and find the "why" later.  

If you like to sing as well, I can specifically focus on getting you prepared to sing while you play.  This is a separate skill that requires a different part of your brain.  This came very naturally to me, and I will teach some tips and tricks.

My name is Joshua Robert.  I am a full time singer/guitarist based in Cleveland, Ohio.  I have been performing for 15 years.  

I lived in Nashville, Tennessee for 3 years and moved back to Cleveland in 2018.  I learned a ton about performing for large audiences and how to learn songs very quickly to take requests.  

I travel a ton for shows.  It was always one of my goals.  I have learned how to promote myself in different areas.  One of my favorite places to go is Las Vegas.  I play for a large amount of conventions, conferences and weddings.
