I have been playing music since I was a kid. I started out in church, then went on to play in school band and started gigging here and there. I just loved playing from the beginning and wanted to learn how to play improvised solos. There was just some magic in being able to make up what you play on the spot and it seemed like a total mystery to me! I got a great teacher in high school and started learning about how music is structured and learning some scales and material to play solos with and I took off immediately. I went on to get a Master's degree in Jazz Performance and I am playing professionally in New York, which has been a dream of mine for many years.
