Hello, hello! Do you see that picture of me? That photo was taken by my wife as we were sitting down to eat tacos in Mexico, her home country. Of all the events in my life that led me there, learning a second language was easily the most important. That's why I love to teach language: every language is a key and it opens up doors and possibilities. Language is a powerful thing! I use storytelling, drawing, acting, and all sorts of fun methods to guide my students into learning my native language of English. I understand what it's like to be completely new to a language and the culture it represents and I create a space that fosters curiosity, ease, and openness. My path in language has taken me to Christopher Newport where I graduated in 2015 with a BA in Spanish and Linguistics. It's taken the to train with Blaine Ray, the creator the TPRS method in 2017. And it's taken me into all sorts of different classrooms over the years, as a teacher, a student, and yes, an eater of tacos.
