Boston Public School Counseling & Intervention Center

I taught West African & Afro-Cuban percussion to children ages 11-18, these children come to this center when they are suspended from their normal schools and attend a program which is short-term (often staying only 1 or 2 weeks) and focuses on building developmentally appropriate decision-making skills and providing outlets for emotional & psychological pain, such as music.

Berklee College of Music

I tutored Berklee students, ages 18-22, in composition & sound design using Csound as well as tutoring in audio programming (using C & C#)

West End House Boys and Girls Club

Taught Drumset, hand percussion, & Production/Sound Design, to kids ages 7-18, showing them the fun of music, as well as the discipline and focus needed for success. Taught concepts that will enable students to get accepted to Berklee College of Music, or another music school, and to be able to play music in a variety of professional settings.

Indian Hill Music School

Taught drums at a summer camp at this great music school located in Littleton, MA where I took piano and drum lessons for many years. Worked with students ages 5-18. Taught orchestra percussion as well as contemporary drumkit techniques/concepts.

I have been teaching privately for over 10 years. I have worked with students of all ages. I have taken what I've learned from studying drums myself for over 12 years, with 6 different teachers and I formulate what I feel like is the best of the best lesson plans, which I custom make for each student, each lesson to provide the most growth and most positive experience possible. If desired, I can teach out of several books - including Garwood Whaley - Musical Studies for Intermediate Snare Drummer, Charley Wilcoxon - The All-American Drummer: 150 Rudimental Solos, Charles Dowd - Funky Primer for the Rock Drummer, and Tommy Igoe - Groove Essentials 1.0+2.0 Or I can teach without any books as I have a wealth of knowledge in me! I teach rudiments, hand+foot techniques, coordination exercises, grooves - stemming from rock to funk to jazz, bossa nova, samba, west african, and much more.
