Teaching since:

Josh grew up listening to classic rock and country music, but wasn’t focused on becoming a musician in his early years. When Josh started High School in Long Beach, MS, he ended up joining band, where he landed in the tuba section. He learned to read music and play with a group, and his love for music grew even more.

Josh decided to learn guitar, and in his senior year of High School began teaching the instrument to beginners. Josh continued on to study music theory and ear training at Tarrant County College, where he honed his skills of reading and writing music. Josh performed with college singers as a tenor, and played bass guitar. Since then, Josh has been playing, writing and performing music in pursuit of becoming a full-time musician.

Josh is inspired by his wonderful wife, Becca, and his 2 daughters, Amelia “Bug” and Adrienne "Bit".

Josh Lee is honestly one of the reasons I am the musician I am today. I've had lessons in both bass guitar and vocals. I've played in national tours and have headlined in numerous venues throughout the metroplex. Very well versed in music theory and practice/application. I wholeheartedly recommend him, as he teaches multiple facets of music.

Josh is a talented musician, and if you are looking to expand or improve your musical ability, then Josh Lee is the right fit for you.

He is patient, he's firm, and he takes time to understand the specific needs of his students. He has an expansive knowledge of instrumentation, scoring, mixing, recording, writing, lyrics, and also brings real-world stage experience to the table.

I recommend Josh for anyone; young, old, male or female, whether you are a recreational musician just starting out, or are serious about taking your music career to the next level.

5 stars & 2 thumbs up

Hey everyone this is Josh's brother he taught me a lot through the years. How to read music, how to do vocals and helped with my drumming. If you spend your time with him you will learn a lot.

The extent of my guitar knowledge prior to starting lessons was Smoke on the Water, and that was about it. Just had never really thought to expand upon it, as the drums were more of my forté. I went into the lessons with an open mind though, eager to add more useful skills to my musician portfolio.

From the moment I walked through the door, I immediately knew Josh was the guy I had been looking for. Real down to earth, and while he clearly had a ton of guitar experience, he had no problem taking things slow for a novice like myself. First few lessons he eased me into some simple chord progressions, so I could get a grasp of the basics, which helped me feel more comfortable, having been proficient at eccentric rhythms and chord progressions as he is and I later found out what that all entailed. I appreciated how he has such an incredible amount of patience, as despite later on when it was taking me a bit longer to pick up on things, he was more than willing to make sure I had a firm grasp on it before moving on. While I'm no Yngwie Malmsteen (yet), at this point I would say I'm at least at an intermediate, dare I say even a little more so, level of playing, thanks entirely to Josh. I could go on all day waxing about how enjoyable it is having such a cool instructor, but I'll just let him speak for himself when others see exactly what I mean. It would be putting it mildly to say I'm thankful for his help, as I've always been pretty nervous trying out new things, especially the guitar, but he is very encouraging and would always push me to strive for more, even when at times I doubted myself.

This is one of the most talented young men I've ever met. I've know him for several years. Watched him perform, teach, arrange. Anything to do with music, this man can do. I was so impressed with him that I hired him and his band to perform at my company Christmas party last year. Everyone was so impressed and pleased that the company had me book him immediately for this years party. Once again, they outdid themselves!!! There are not enough words to list Josh's abilities. This is the man to look to for any and all lessons you may be searching for. He is sooooooo talented.
