I have been a rounded bass player for the past 13 years and a guitar/bass instructor for the past 7 years. Since I came to Florida back in 2003 my passion for authentic music has grown tremendously. I've been a member of the STM (Strong Tower Ministries) band, New Life Fellowship Band and now (2006 – present) I'm currently a member of the Living Word Christian Center Band. As I continue to develop my craft I have challenged myself to commence working on an album of my own and becoming an extraordinary bass player and soloist. Even though most of my background and experience is with gospel music (which includes all genre of music), I have been very fortunate to work in the studio alongside Jam Loud Entertainment and other artist in the music and entertainment industry. *** Lesson Details *** I am a more laid back instructor because it takes patience to acquire great musical skills. However, I believe I'm a great motivator and fun person as well, and my students usually learn fast but also effectively. For the first 6 months my students should be able to: - Apply theoretical knowledge to his or her instrument. In other words, they should be able to play a simple song. - Interpret sounds from other instruments other than their own - Appreciate and know different genre or style of music - Play their instrument over a simple drum loop - Ready to transition to a higher skill level. For eg, if he/she starts out as a beginner, after 6 months him or her should be at the intermediate level or close. Students will be given assignments in order to determine what he or she has learned in the previous lesson. Also, audio tracks and music videos will be used to stimulate the student's hearing ability. As the student makes progress, he or she should take the opportunity to attend live performances to help motivate his or her musical interest. *** Studio Equipment *** Electric guitar, bass, speaker, text-book, cables and other audio and video enhancement.
