Teaching since:
1993

Teaching art has always been my passion and my students respond well to me and my teaching style. Many of my students have gone from not even knowing that they had any real artistic ability to going on to pursue college level art or pursueing artistic careers. I have students from years ago that will still contact me for art related questions and some who have become close friends. I believe that my nearly 2 1/2 decades of teaching art in a public school has made me capable of the patience and caring needed to teach any and all learning styles. We can start at whatever skill level you are currently at.

Paul is a marvelous instructor in drawing and computer. He is patient, calm and caring. He provides a relaxed atmosphere for learning which helps tremendously.
No matter what the level of the student he adapts and the flow of information is always positive. He is a natural instructor which is greatly appreciated.

Mr. Williamson taught me to do things that I wasn't even aware that I was capable of. He has a very calm and professional teaching style, but also knows how to make it fun.

J. Paul was probably one of the most influential teachers that I have ever had. I remember him saying, "No one expects their math teacher to be a mathematician, or their English teacher to be an author or poet, but everyone thinks their art teacher should be a great artist." Perhaps he was right. Fortunately for his students, J. Paul is not only an excellent-a lot of adjectives fit here, patient, gentle, clear, encouraging- teacher, he is also an accomplished artist.

Paul Wiliamson is by far the best teacher I have ever had. He is well versed in Art History, and is extremely gifted in meeting students where they are skill-wise.
