My name is Joe and I've played guitar almost as long as I've been alive! From bluegrass bands, to soloing classical conciertos with orchestras, to cocktail hours in hotels I love it all. My goal is to help my students learn to play what fits them, and discover new things and styles they never knew about. Do you want to learn to read music, get good enough to be in a band or just strum with your friends? Lets do that, and have fun accomplishing those goals! I use a chord-based guitar teaching method, as opposed to scales, and that provides me with the flexibility to work with several different guitar styles!

Joseph is a talented musician with the ability to teach many styles. He’s a great guy and a patient teacher. Plus, you get to hear him play when he demonstrates, which is one of my favorite things!

Joseph is the quintessential guitar teacher: fun, engaging, and expert in understanding how people learn music. He has years of experience as both a performer and teacher of classical guitar, scout guitar, mandolin, and banjo. Joseph works well with students of all ages, and has successfully taught students with special learning needs. He plays and teaches many musical styles, including classical, pop, bluegrass, and gospel/sacred music.
