Greetings fellow guitarists! My name is Joe, I've been a guitarist for 13 years, and have 8 years of teaching experience. I've played guitar and bass in numerous extreme metal bands throughout southern Maine and I'm currently one half of the guitar duo in the technical death metal band Ethereal Rot. As a metal guitarist, I'm trained in the art of shred guitar but I also have a background in blues, jazz, and country, and I can teach any style except for classical(which is another beast entirely). My teaching style is patient and laid back, I break down complex materials in a way that students can easily understand and I make sure to have good time while doing it, because playing music should be fun and exciting. For travel lessons I will bring my guitar, music stands and an amp. I provide all my students with sheet music/tablature, and detailed notes on every subject we discuss.
